Kim and David asked me to photograph a big party that they were planning at the beginning of June and how could I resist? David happens to be my nephew and Kim, as of June 6th 2014, is my new niece. It doesn't seem like it's been too long since David marched out of his home as a toddler with a few dollars in hand to buy a treasure chest of candy at the candy shop right down the street from where he lived. I think he just got off from being grounded that day for his irresistible love of candy but apparently all is well. On June 6th, 2014, David marched on to the United Methodist Church in North Olmsted to marry the real love of his live, Kim. Sorry candy, you've been demoted to #2.
David and his groomsmen dressed for success at his parents house (my brother Dennis and sister-in-law Elaine) and everybody, including my great nephew Brady, was on time and ready for pictures. Kim and her bridesmaids got ready at the Radisson Hotel in North Olmsted. The ceremony was held at the North Olmsted United Methodist Church located on Dover Center Rd. The weather couldn't have been better. Bright sun with a slight overcast and pleasant temperatures in the seventies. After the ceremony, the bridal party headed out to the West Side Irish American Club in Olmsted Township where we used the beautiful grounds surrounding the reception building for bridal portraits.
I always enjoy photographing weddings but this one was very special. It's been a while since anybody in my family has tied the knot and seeing everyone in my family at such a great celebration is a day to remember. Welcome to the family Kim and congratulations to you and David!
Listed below is a collection of photos from the big party on Friday June 6th. Enjoy.
